How come black people can't pronounce the word AMBULANCE correctly? They mostly all say AM-BU-LANCE instead?
of the correct way that most white people say which is, AM-BAH-LENCE. You people know that I'm not making this up. I've lived in the North, South, West, Mid West, Northwest, everywhere. And every black person I know mis-pronounces ambulance, why is that?

Perhaps they have more french class in their speech then you: Main Entry: am·bu·lance Pronunciation: \ˈam-byə-lən(t)s, -bə- also -ˌlan(t)s\ Function: noun Etymology: French, from (hôpital) ambulant, literally, ambulant field hospital, from ambulant itinerant, from Latin ambulant-, ambulans, present participle of ambulare Date: 1809 : a vehicle equipped for transporting the injured or sick And a Potatoe is a Patatoe no matter how you eat it.

This question comes off kind of racist because you mention "blacks". Saying the word a certain way is just like some people say vase: VOS and some say VAAS, just like Aunt being said ANT or AU-NT...the list goes on. The way someone pronounces something has nothing to do with what color skin they are. People speak differently for many reasons such as how their family speaks around them, area they live in, climate, personality etc. To say that you think someones pronouncation is due to skin color may offend some users especially saying "blacks", perhaps you can reword your question and people can answer this question without an offense taken.
